Fantastic first day at the North American Championship
The fleet started early at Sarnia Yacht Club , CAN and by the third race it was champagne racing with a clear sky wind from the North East 8 to 12 knots some interesting waves and wow!! current and strong in a lake. The racing took an average of 1hour 10 min racing a standard class course that this time saw the finish line inverted (buoy to windward).

CAN 225 with Peter Hall, William Hall and Ross Findlater started well winning the first two races and finishing second in the third race of the day. CAN 1 the hosts with Billy Abbott, Joanne Abbott and Paul Davis had a second, a third and the bullet at the last race.
GER 11 with Michael Dietzel, Martin Zeileis and Hannes Ramoser sailing a real oldie from 1969 fully refurbished Soling by Kanter Marine had a great day starting with a fourth, then a second and a third in the last race.

Tomorrow the start will be at 1100hs and again a three races are scheduled.
